Being A Mom is Great

Here are a few pics of Mother's Day ( a little late- sorry). Ethan made a sweet card and we had a Mother's Day tea at his school. He was so proud of the flower pot he had painted and I am so proud to be his Mommy. I feel so blessed that I get to be with the boys each day and share in all the moments and they are growing.

We love the Gardens!

We were kicked out of our house this afternoon (for a showing) so what better way to spend the afternoon than at the Botanical Garden. There is an awesome Niki exhibit there right now that begs for pictures. Too bad my camera battery ran out- but here are a few that we were able to get. I absolutely love it there- so beautiful.

Field Day
Today was Field Day at Ethan's school and we had a great time! Thankfully the rain stopped and we were able to do all the events. I loved getting to hang out and do a relay with my buddy Kelly- (thanks for "Hoopin" it up with me :) and Ethan loved getting snow cones and cupcakes. Here's Ethan hard at work at Tug of War. Action Figures
OK, I'm pretty sure that Ethan is the first child in St. Louis to have the Indiana Jones action figure. They just went on sale today and yes, the child in Kevin caused him to take off work early and go by Toys R Us where he stood and watched the worker open the box of the first Indiana toys they were "allowed" to sell. If only I had the camera running this afternoon as Ethan and Kevin were literally swinging from a branch in our backyard as the adventure led to the big finale with the toy being the "treasure". I'm not kidding.
He wasn't the only one--one other dad was there (who arrived at the same time as Kevin). Between them, they decided to hold a "draft" of the toys, just to make sure everything was "fair". Kevin won the coin toss, and thankfully there were enough to go around. We're set for this year's birthday, at least.
I'm doing much better by the way, and hope to be back up to full speed by the weekend.
