Perhaps if there are any child phychologists who read this, they may have insight as to why his younger brother was excluded. Well, since you asked...
You're all smiling (sort of), which makes Ethan a happy and well-adjusted child. The lack of Andrew hopefully means he just ran out of time.
From an uneducated but very experienced opinion, I believe Ethan knew that Andrew was taking his nap and didn't want to disturb him. Ramona however, makes a good point, could be he really did just run out of time. Grandma :)
